Author: Jimmy Akin
Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live." So he was a Jew . . .
Doubtless he was in the pay of Jesuit Freemasons controlled by the Pope !!
I hear JPII kissed a copy of this guy’s book.
Hey, have they ever given Gil Grissom a crack at this Jack the Ripper thing?
Please Mr Akin let us discuss Christ, the Church, and apologetics.
Thank you and God Bless you

For one I appreciate the variety of articles JA does on his blog. I think this request has been made before and his basic answer is that he posts on what catches his fancy.
Jimmy’s blog. Jimmy’s rules. He can discuss whatever he wants — no one has to read posts they aren’t interested in.
Like Slowboy, I enjoy the diversity of JimmyAkin.org. My interests range outside theology and apologetics, and I appreciate that Jimmy’s do too. God made us to be interested in all sorts of things, and while there’s certainly a place for blogs devoted exclusively to a single subject, there’s also room for blogs with a more eclectic interest in life, the universe and everything.
I for one admire Jimmy’s affinity for Sci-Fi, as I do myself 🙂

In that case, isn’t the real “Jack the Ripper,” a noncorporeal entity which feeds off the terror of others and kills the women?
Jack the Ripper Guest-Stars in a Star Trek Episode?
O.K lets discuss the benefit to harm ratio of methandrostenolone.
Nope, its not an amphetamine.
Go.
Comes the Inquisitor . . .
(“Who ARE YOU!”)
“O.K lets discuss the benefit to harm ratio of methandrostenolone.”
Well, that may explain a lot.
Tim,
Google it up and find out what it is.
It’s an illegal steroid. What does this have to do with anything, or is that your attempted point?
I thought maybe the point was that this might explain Dan’s ferocious mood swings.
I like the posts, except for the Sci-Fi stuff, which I ignore.
One man’s meat is another man’s poison.

I could never understand Dan.
Sometimes, he could say the nicest things about the Church, the Catholic Faith and the Pope.
But, for some reason, he pulls a “Jekyll and Hide” and starts posting like he did to Mary Kay and Inocencio back then where he says he wants to kick the sh__ out of them and calls them a b_t_h.
Dan,
Pray, brother, that you can control these fits.
You’re better than that.
I don,t think you get the point,Tim and Esau.
The Dianabol reference is arbitrary.
It could be copperhead folklore or what did Rip Van Winkle really drink?

Dan,
Feel free to head on over to the Catholic Answers forums (http://forums.catholic.com) if you’d like to discuss such things exclusively. 🙂 There’s plenty of discussion about Christ, the Church, and apologetics 24/7!
(By the way, did you notice that your space bar seems to be stuck? You might want to get that fixed… it makes your posts a little hard to read.)
JoAnna,
Thank you that site has already helped me.
I shall venture forth there from now on.
God bless you.
Esau:
Actually the real Jack the Ripper was named “Sebastian” and he was abducted by the Vorlons in the late 19th Century and used ocassionally to test humans for their worthiness to command space armadas in interstellar clashes of empire.
That’s common knowledge.
Now, see I didn’t know that. Guess youu learn something every day.
Uh . . . Mr. Shea, if you’ll read my above post you’ll find that I already gave the obligatory Babylon-5 related comment meritted by this topic; anymore than one and people might start to think that we’re all a bunch of socially misfit, unshaven sci-fi geeks around these-here parts 😉
Also, Dr. Eric:
I like the posts, except for the Sci-Fi stuff, which I ignore.
You see, I’m the opposite way: I like the Sci-Fi stuff, except for the posts, which I ignore 😉
Hey Mark, I thought the Vorlons were a 1950s’ doo-wop group, no?
