Y’Know What I Said About Some Foreign Food Testing My Limits?

bentoI meant it in terms of some food being too gross for me.

It turns out, there’s also some food that’s too cute for me–like these Japanese Bento boxes.

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. hahaha! That’s too funny! This reminds me of the action figures they have in Taiwan. Check this site out…

Just send a picture of yourself, and they’ll make a custom action figure for ya! (I’ll be the first one on line to purchase a Jimmy Akins action figure!!!) lol

  2. Hah! That custom action figure site it too funny. I’d be tempted to use it just for laughs, except the whole site is in Chinese, and I don’t read Chinese!

  3. I’ll eat it no questi0on asked BWA HAHAHA I eat kitty 😛
It’s call Neko Chan bento I think. Neko is cat.

  4. LOL!, though I thought the bento in question was Hello Kitty (whatever the Japanese name is for that character). If you look at the other bentos, they are of animation characters, including Hamtaro and the Powerpuff Girls.

  5. It’s kinda creepy. I like it.
    Would I eat it? Well . . . that’s a kitty of a different color!
