Yee-Hah!

rodeoI’m off to the Ramona Rodeo! See you there!

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Hope you had fun at the rodeo! We were hoping to go but the budget precluded it. 🙂 Looks like fun, though. Haven’t been to one yet.

  2. Cool! Well it’s bulls and blood
    It’s dust and mud
It’s the roar of a Sunday crowd
It’s the white in his knuckles
    The gold in the buckle
He’ll win the next go ’round
    It’s boots and chaps
    It’s cowboy hats
    It’s spurs and latigo
It’s the ropes and the reins
And the joy and the pain
And they call the thing rodeo
    Yeehaw!
