No new Star Trek for YEARS.
Founding of the Federation to be seen.
Author: Jimmy Akin
Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live." No new Star Trek for YEARS.
Thank you Jesus!
No new Star Trek makes baby Kirayoshi cry.
Star Trek was all played out. Those idiots who were in charge of Voyager and Enterprise ruined the Star Trek franchise. Even the Next-Gen movies sucked. No wonder why Patrick Stewart quit.
On the other hand, good news- a new Star Wars series is coming out next year. YAYYY!
For those in the Pittsburgh market that may have missed (and not taped) Friday night’s airing…according to myway.com, UPN Pittsburgh will rebroadcast the finale episodes Saturday at *3 PM* (instead of the usual 6 PM).
Star Trek never made sense. No money, no economy. They never really explain what motivates starfleet officers, or why you almost can’t find private civilian ships, and things like that. There are lots of ethnic and cultural groups, but no religion. Star Trek assumes that mankind will ‘grow’ out of those things because, supposedly, their creator didnt’ like them or the zeitgeist of the 60’s thought they were not part of the utopia. Well, this is my impression. It’s strange, because I watched a lot of Star Trek things, but I only realised all those things after all that, but they kind of make sense. That and the fact that they seem to solve most problems by inverting something’s polarity!
