Y’all may recall that following his audience last week, B16 was handed a cell phone by a man in a wheelchair and he spoke into it for a few moments.
Nobody knew who was on the other end of the line.
Now we do.
Turns out that he was speaking to a 44-year old nun who was too ill with cancer to attend the audience as she’d originally planned.
GET THE STORY.

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

Wait a minute. This is the man who the MSM calls “God’s Rotweiller”? How dare he show human compassion and perform a corporal work of mercy.
He will balance his pastoral and doctrinal sides very well, thank you.
I really like Papa Benedict.
