A Special Thank You

Although we may have met, in which case I apologize for not remembering better, I just want to say a special thank you to the young man in this photo for his appreciation of my work at the National Catholic Register.

God bless you, buddy, wherever you are!

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

I do feel motivated and enlightened every time I receive your articles clarifying whatever misgivings I have had about the Pope’s ambiguous comments or the Church’s pronouncements on faith matters or your perspectives on the current situation affecting Christians in the world.
Thank you and God bless you.

  4. In essence, unlike The Catholic Reporter, The Catholic Register is a Catholic reporter.
Thanks for all you do for Christ, and His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, Jimmy!

  5. Thank you Jimmy for your dedication and your work.
You have helped me a lot to realise the Catholic Church is the true church.
There is a lot of anti Catholic stuff on the web and I am so grateful for your
effort to rebuke it. I listen a lot to Catholic Answers, where I first heard you speak and have listened to your talks many times, always so……..good.
    Again, many thanks.

    Regards,

    Rita

  6. I was a bit shocked when I read about thanking you for all you do at the National Catholic REPORTER – but then I realized that it must have been a typo. Please, Jimmy, tell us it was a typo?!

  7. Whew! I’m glad you fixed that, Jimmy! I thought I might have stepped into an alternate reality!
