I’ve heard amazing stories about the priests who are allowed once a year to go into the holy of holies within that church where it is stored. Most of them go blind within several years. However, I don’t believe that the ark is in Ethiopia.
2 Maccabees 2:4-6 says that Jeremiah hid the Ark of the Covenant on Mt Nebo. Well it refers to the hiding place as the mountain where Moses looked out over the promised land, which if we look back to Deuteronomy that is Mt Nebo in Jordan.
