Sorry, folks, but I need a blog day off today.
Have fun with the current discussions and archives!
Author: Jimmy Akin
Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live." Hrmmm, looks like Jimmy left the door unlocked! Let’s make a mess!
Just by way of announcement:
My Very Educated Mother Just Sent Us Nickels!
and thats all there is to it!
Well, if Jimmy WAS posting today, I imagine he might have posted something about THIS.
I understand that scientific knowledge changes and deepens and broadens with time. However, can I just say that one is officially old when the SOLAR SYSTEM is no longer the one you learned in school? 😉
Pluto, we hardly knew ye…
For fans of “NO! IT IS I WHO WILL EAT YOU!”
Muppets Eating Other Muppets
I watched one of the listed episodes of The Muppet Show on Sunday night.
Jimmy’s in mourning over the death of a planet, we should leave him be.
More important news than the reclassification of Pluto is the new development in embryonic stem cell research that was all over the news yesterday. I bet Jimmy will blog on that, specifically whether (if it’s for real) it could make embryonic stem cell research morally permisible by no longer including the direct killing of an embryo, though the creation of the embryos would still be wrong.

LOL!
Pluto is gone?!!!!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!
More sad news: It looks like Disney shall have to remove Pluto the Dog from their Cartoon lineup. 🙁
Looks like Holst’s “The Planets” is up to date again!
Unfortunately I fear this may mean “Xena” will not be renamed.
Jimmy Dear, could you and your fellow bloggers please coordinate your blog days off to make sure I have something to read with my coffee in the morning? Thanks…
It was like Princess Leia traded Pluto for her home planet on the Death Star…
