Employment Opportunities At Catholic Answers

I just thought I put up a note about a couple of employment opportunities at Catholic Answers.

We’re looking to expand our web department, and at the moment we’re looking for

A WEB APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER

and

A WEB SERVER SPECIALIST.

If you are such a person and would be interested in working at Catholic Answers, check out the links above!

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Hey, Jimmy.
    Does the web applications developer have to be on site? I know an excellent one who fits that description but lives here in Boise. The job seems like something that could be done remotely with few problems.

  2. Hey, I just heard about a web-surfer specialist job or something? That’s me! I love surfing the web!
    You don’t want some schmuck from Boise, heck, I could work for you while I’m at work. Now there’s commitment.

  3. This would be such an awesome job. I’m a programmer but I don’t live in So Cal anymore. Oh well.

  4. Dear Mr Jeremy Akins,
    I wanna to apply for the position. It fits me perfectically. Consider:
    * A deep love for the Catholic faith and fidelity to the Magisterial teaching of the Church.
    – I am faithful to the Catholic faith and believe that whether Jesus resurrected or not is not the important thing, it is how you feel about it that is important. This is taught by all the Popes since our first Pope, Pope Joan.
    * Excellent oral and written communication skills
    – I having them both!!!!!!! I am very articulate in listening as well.
    * Excellent organizational skills
    – At Mass, when I ding the bell, everyone kneels. When I ding it again, everyone stands. You see I am born leader.
    * Superior attention to details
    That is me Mr. Atkins. Your college Mr. Karl Kitting will testiphy to that.
    So, when do I start Mr Akings?
    Best regards,
    Francis DS

  5. If Jimmy passes on hiring you, Francis, there’s always the National Catholic Distorter….hee hee

  6. Francis, do you know anything about architecture? I could use a good man like yourself.
