I always thought The Addams Family was more creative and less stereotypical, but it is with great sadness that I report that Al "Grandpa Munster" Lewis has died.
He was 95.
Maybe.
Actually, his age was unclear, which is as it should be with a member of the undead.
GET THE STORY.
BIO FROM WIKIPEDIA.
Rest in peace.
Until we see you again.
Which may be sooner rather than later given the whole undead thing.
In other vampire news,
FEMINIST AUTHOR BETTY FRIEDAN HAS DIED, TOO.
May she also rest in peace.
And may eternal light shine upon them.

Ok, any man’s death diminishes me, but for pete’s sake people, the guy played “Grandpa” on The Munsters, which, yes I ran home to watch after school. but so what? My self-obsessed generation still thinks the passing every single character we ever saw on TV is NEWS. Well, it ain’t. Ok, rant over. back to work.
I have to admit, when I first heard about “Grandpa’s” death, I was caught in one of those “Wow! I thought he died YEARS ago…” moments.
There is a interview of him where he said his birthdate was 1910 so he was 95. The confusion came in because some used the date of the start of his career.
I really liked your “In other vampire news…”
How true!
‘thann
I was going to point out certain facial similarities between the two, but decided that wouldn’t be nice.
Betty Friedan actually seemed almost sane, for a feminist.
