Where am I now?
Author: Jimmy Akin
Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live." Hey is this the rock formation from the Star Trek episode where Kirk fights the Lizardman?
It was also used in the Star Trek Movie with Kirk and Picard.
Vasquez Rocks, Santa Clarita, CA!!!
The Lizard man! The Lizard man! Sheesh SchuBob, that would be a Gorn that Kirk fought.
Okay which is worse that SchuBob didn’t know it was a Gorn or that I did? Hmm….
Ayre’s Rock? (just kidding) but obviously you are hanging out the truck window with your camera phone again!
Yep! Y’all guess it!
I was at Vasquez Rocks, scene of innumerable movie and TV scenes.
More on it later.
Kirk also fought his former upper classman Finigan on those same rocks.
As seen most memorably in Amazon Women on the Moon…
Isn’t that rock the one modeled after for Grizzly Peak at Disney’s California Adventure?
