CAL On MP3–Now Available!

This is not the final, final version of the page, nor is currently integrated with the calendar, nor do we have an RSS feed set up yet, but . . .

C.A. LIVE IS NOW AVAILABLE ON MP3 FOR YOUR DOWNLOADING PLEASURE!

Enjoy!

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Great! Thanks for your hard work putting this together.
Would you be able to id3 tag them to have an artist/title/genre? It would make viewing them on the ol’ iPod a lot easier.
Looking forward to the podcast feed too…

  2. Thanks, Jimmy and CA, for making this happen! Now it will be a snap to catch up on shows I’ve missed (without having to listen on my laptop or do the conversion myself).

  3. Jerry Usher sounds like a different person in MP3 format than RealAudio. Has he compared the two? His voice sounds better in MP3, no question. But Jimmy sounds basically the same. (Must be that twang!) 🙂

  4. Thanks Jimmy! I actually already saw this link posted a few days ago on the Catholic Answers Forum site, and I have already downloaded most of the shows. I have been hoping y’all would do this for a long time now, and I’m very happy to see it finally happen.
And thanks for letting us participate in the sound quality testing. I’m glad to see that you decided to go with one of the bigger file-size (and thus higher sound quality) options.

  5. Very awesome! They sound great, download fast, and (hopefully) will be able to be set up through iTunes podcasting. Thanks for all you guys do.

  6. Today the iPod. Tomorrow,
    THE WORLD!!!
    Mwa hahahaha !
(C’mon evil laugh with me folks, it’s fun and good for your circulation.)

  7. Wonderful!! Can’t wait for the RSS feed.
What is the current frequency of this page being updated? 8/2 is the latest show as of this writing.
