Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

I guess if you see your job as a judge to “follow the law” then he did so by the letter. Although, I think we should only honor judges who promote Justice which is altogether different from the rule of law.
“He’s a man of integrity. He’s followed the flow. …” said Miller. “That’s why he’s getting this award.”
He’s followed the flow? Not followed the law, but followed the flow??!!! What on earth is that supposed to mean?!!!
It’s not surprising that those judges would circle their wagons when they see one of their brethren facing sharp criticisms. Basically this “honor” is their way of telling the majority of Americans, who have real problems with Greer’s actions, to go BLEEP ourselves.
