An Attempt To Save Terri’s Life

Bo_gritz This is Bo Gritz. (Gotta love that name.)

I’ve never heard of him before, but he’s a former green beret who has a hairbrained (and non-violent) scheme to save Terri Shiavo’s life.

You read it and you think: This can’t work.

Until you read that it’s worked for him before.

GET THE STORY.

(Cowboy hat tip to the reader who sent it!)

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. I must be getting old. How could anybody say, “I’ve never heard of him before” about Bo Gritz. He’s a real-life John Wayne, Tom Cruise, Arnold Schwartzenegger, all-American, red-white-and-blue bad boy, boy scout, karate kid butt-kicker like they don’t make anymore. He’s the real deal.
“He is married to Judy Gale from Kentucky. They reside on an airstrip 50-miles southwest of Las Vegas, Nevada with their Abyssinian, Heartmender, and German Shepherd, Hartzall. Bo and Judy love to ride their Harley Davidson, walk the runway at night, and fly their Cessna-310 Riley Rocket to places of appointment.”
