Anatomy Of A Farce

I haven’t really been following who’s going to be elected head of the Democratic National Committee.

Apparently it’s likely to be Howard ScreamDean.

Fortunately, others have been watching.

HERE’S A FASCINATING LOOK AT THE BYZANTINE FARCE THAT HAS LED TO THIS STATE OF AFFAIRS.

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Yeah, personally I am surprised that Dean will end up DNC Chair, considering how many big Democrat names are horrified at the idea. The panic and infighting in the party are worse than I had imagined. 🙂
What the Deaniacs may not realize is that, just as in the sixties, you’d better not go tearing down institutions unless you have something better to put in their place. Right now they are flush with a sense of their own power, but I believe they are rebels without a clue.
“What are you rebelling against, Johnny?”
    “Whaddya got?”

  2. Jimmy:
Its fine to attack Dean but why not also attack Bush for pushing Ken Mehlman as GOP Chairman and Jo Ann Davidson as co-chairman of the GOP.
Mehlman has been “outed” by the Democrats as Gay (his only response is to state that he refuses to discuss his personal life) and Jo Ann Davidson is amember of GOP Pro-Choice groups.
While I may disagree with Dr. Dean and his position on homosexuals and abortion at least he isn’t a hypocrite and at least he is pulling the wool over the eyes of his supports as is President Bush and the GOP.
