How about Amazon.Com?
IT MIGHT BE A PROBLEM YOU HAVE TO FACE.
Author: Jimmy Akin
Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live." I do not have TiVo but do order frequently from Amazon. I have fairly eclectic taste in books and music. Still I have noticed that Amazon’s recommendations sometimes reveal my current interest (obsession?). Currently amazon is pushing blues in music and the Wiggles on DVD. As well, I am recommended silent film collections and Prion Humour classics.

Like skip, I don’t have TiVo but get some weird Amazon recommendations, and some better ones. I also use SBC Global’s Launch Radio, which tries to predict what you’ll like based on how you rate songs — again, it works, but not perfectly. Maybe TiVo would work better if there were some way to tell it not to incorporate certain shows into your profile.
Hmmm .. I guess I’ve been pretty lucky. I have my own Amazon page, so it knows to throw lots and lots of Fulton Sheen and Scott Hahn at me … although it does also pick up on my recent searches ……
