Muslims Skirting Anti-Polygamy Laws In England

Undoubtedly they’re doing the same thing here, just as some Mormons are.

GET THE STORY.

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Funny, I thought the influence of Islamic immigrants was going to revivify Europe’s pathetic cultural state, you know Peter Kreeft’s “ecumenical jihad” etc.
Of course, it is the left-wing parties that are more likely to approve of polygamy. Leftist parties do quite well with Moslems because the latter think they are more appreciative of “multiculturalism.”
Another chapter in the suicide of the West.

  2. I don’t understand why Muslims would like the Left so much. Muslims don’t come across as “liberal” to me, anyways . . .

  3. Eric,
Why would black pastors who oppose abortion and homosexuality permit Bill Clinton, Jesse Jackson & John Kerry to appear at their churches?
Simply put, people tend to vote for what they think will benefit them “in the here and now.” Moslems feel that politicians who talk about diversity, multiculturalism and the like will be of short term benefit (particularly if they support lots of welfare). That secularism is corrosive to Islam 50 years from now isn’t a big issue to them.
Those who talk about the joys of immigration (Hispanic, Moslems or whatever) should provide evidence of these groups voting for socially conservative candidates. There isn’t much.
