This Rock Is Up!

Catholic Answers has finally been able to achieve its long-standing goal of getting back issues of This Rock magazine online!

As of now, the mazagines from January 2001 (less the last few issues) are all online HERE.

The remainder of the print run of This Rock, going all the way back to the first issue in January 1990, are expected to be online in two months.

After that, we’ll continue to post new issues of the magazine, but lagged by about three months (unless you’re a subscriber, in which case the plan is that you’ll be able to log in and read the new issues immediately).

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  5. This is cool, but won’t this result in fewer subscriptions for This Rock?
    Of course, maybe the increased exposure will result in more subscriptions.

    search feature…and the world will be a better place!

    By the way…the same Idea goes for all online radio programs(!)
    Put them on a cd with a search feature. I am already in the process
    of doing this myself using a small MS Access Database.

  7. I suspect that a good amount of work went into getting all of those issues onto the website. Thanks to you and the other folks at CA for doing so.
    By the way, I know that CA has its online forums, but has the organization considered doing a group blog of any sort? Ignatius has one up and running.
