Return of the King Is Out!

returnofthekingThis is the theatrical version, which will have to do for a few months until the extended version is out.

Already have mine!

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. I’m going to wait for the extended edition. Then I’ll spend a whole weekend watching all three movies back-to-back, plus The Hobbit and the animated LOTR movies. I can’t wait! Probably I’ll feel ill by the end of the weekend, but it’ll be worth it.

  2. Do we have to wait 20 years for Mel Gibson to remake it aright?

On Bilbo and Frodo’s birthday, we should all have Parties, showing the 12 hours of film, (with intermissions for food, etc., of course) The same thing on the True Elvish New Years — the Feast of the Annunciation.
