Interestingly, an (apparently well-known) athlete with a sex change who is quoted in the article agrees that the IOC is mistaken. Points to “her” for honesty!

Did’nt the former Soviet bloc women’s teams do this for years?
Wow! I’m really stunned by this. It’s a well known fact that the IOC will not allow athletes with prosthetic legs to participate in track events, even though with the best technology a sprinter can expect only about 90% of natural leg rebound.
But now they allow the transgendered?
This is sick and twisted but how many athletes would BECOME a woman just to win an olympic gold medal. Quite a few I bet.
