Separated at birth?
Author: Jimmy Akin
Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live." Prof. Woods’ new book on U.S. history is quite good. His book on Vatican II was certainly interesting to this non-Catholic.
Mr. Jimmy, how do feel about the writtings of Dr. Woods ??
Don’t know much about them, frankly. Just saw his picture and Steve Dillard’s picture while poking around on the web and was amazed how much they looked alike.
I can’t speak about Stephen Dillard, but you will know more about Thomas Woods by the end of this summer. His next book, How the Catholic Church Built Western Civilization, is coming out next month. Published by Regnery, it will be as influential in Catholic publishing H.W. Crocker’s Triumph.
Of course, that should read “as H.W. Crocker’s Triumph.”
