IT’S TRUE!
Only it’s not the Pokemon you think. It’s a gene called Pokemon, and it seems to be a "master switch" gene that allows for all sorts of cancers.
It appears that we may be able to make significant headway in the fight against cancer if we can find a way to take this gene and, like many parents yell when their kids watch too many episodes of the TV show, "Turn it off! Turn it off! Turn it off!"

Of course Pokemon (Nintendo) is pounced Poe – kay – mon I wonder if they’re pronounced the same way..
On the TV show, it’s pronounced Poe-kee-mon.
I wonder if this gene might also prevent aging were it to be properly activated and deactivated, something lost at the Fall, perhaps?
Hot ziggity! Sign me up. Of course, I’m given to wonder what else may happen when you turn off this gene? I’d be happy to put up with a mild rash or halitosis or something, but I’d have to draw the line somewhere. I’m pretty ignorant of these sorta bio-mechanisms. Can turning off a gene have unforseen side effects, as above?
I would bet that turning off genes has far more ramifications than we can possibly imagine.
How do you tell a boy chromosome from a girl chromosome? You take off it’s genes!
