Classics Of Internet Humor 4

Who_will_be_eaten_first

Cowboy hat tip to the reader who sent THIS LINK to the Cthulhoid parody of a Jack Chick tract.

I’d seen it ages ago, but then it got taken down as JACK CHICK WAS NOT AMUSED.

Minor content advisory (uses a bad word, has a disturbing image and sinister theme).

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. I think Jack Chick is a fool, but that is patewntly offensive regardless. That is obviously an attack on Christianity as a whole as well as Jack Chick. Why you would help spread such filth is beyond me.

  2. Jeremiah, its a parody. H. P. Lovecraft wrote weird pulp horror stories in the 1920s and 30s. This comic was a parody of the Chick tracts using the H. P. Lovecraft’s stories. Its hilarious. Its not a serious attempt to “evangelize” for the “elder gods”. Its just as over-the-top and ridiculous as the Chick tracts. Please, folks, don’t leave your sense of humor at the church door. God has a sense of humor too, you know. I see it when I look in a mirror.
