Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Army of three-headed winged aliens shed hats in preparation for aerial attack as unsuspecting humans cheer at seemingly miraculous rain of free headgear.

  2. St. Peter was a fisherman … a sailor. This is St. Peter proclaiming Christ on Pentecost. We always knew about the tongues as of fire. What we forgot is that the mighty wind blew off everyone’s hats.
Nice picture of the Spirit-powered Church, the Body of Christ, coming to birth out of the Upper Room–the Chamber in which also the Body of Christ, the Eucharist, was born.

  3. Ay, raise those brand-new ensigns up!

Beneath them rung the middies’ shout,
    And burst their parents’s roar;–
But soon the scent of ocean air
Shall lead them far from shore!

  4. The only reprobate person in the parachute team realizing that the rapture has occurred.

  5. Jedi academy trainees show strain after using the Force to hold their hats in the air for several hours.
