Author: Jimmy Akin
Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live." You’re almost there! Now I just need it on Kobo books for my fancy new Borders bankruptcy aquired Kobo reader!
Good, I’m glad to see us .epub users finally getting some respect.
That said, I’m gonna get the hardcopy. I love my nook, but I’ve decided for most non-fiction, esp. anything w/footnotes, index, &c. paper is best.
Besides, the contrast and battery life still can’t be beat.
How come the book is not available on Amazon?
Thank you for the book, very informative.I am glad here in US the Mass will be at last – ‘proper’ as it is in the Italian language where I came from..but in Italy ( at least where I was the ‘Great Amen’ was to be Proclaimed Solemnly Standing not kneeling..it made sense to me that way, standing and proclaiming with all your heart the AMEN – You did a great job anyway..I still would like a book though that explains more thoroughly the ‘whys’ behind what we do..as eg recieving Holy Communion as our Ancestors recieved their Meal with their sandals ready belts tied – ready to go..
Is there abook that explains these ?
ThanksJimmy, avid Catholic Answers listner.
