Well, here’s one big reason why I’ve been missing in action here at JA.o: I’ve been hard at work on the latest renovation of the Decent Films Guide. It just went live this Sunday.
There are a lot of things about the new Decent Films site that I’m excited about, but you can read about ’em at the Decent Films Blog. (Yes, Decent Films Blog!) OTOH, if you want to comment on the changes at the new site, you can do it here at JA.o (no blog post comments at Decent Films).
BTW, for my second Decent Films Blog entry, I posted a video that I shot a few days ago on my iPhone at St. Lucy’s Church in Newark, NJ, where my family sometimes attends weekday Masses. You can read more about the video and the subject matter at the blog, but the subject matter is worth cross-posting here for anyone who may not click over. Enjoy!
Awww… no comments at the Decent Films blog? 😉
How ever will we gush at your brilliantly perceptive film reviews?
DF does look pretty slick, now. Congratulations!
Can’t see the video here at work, but I love St. Lucy’s. We up there every other year (about) for the Feast of St. Gerard. Good stuff, and beautiful.
SOMEBODY never got over their model train phase….
My gosh!
Absolutely breathtaking. I must confess, however, that I’ve become so accustomed to a “gotcha” in online videos that I was expecting this to end with a caganer. Thanks for proving me wrong.
I feel sure D.W. Griffith would have liked this. I particularly appreciate the part at the end where, instead of going directly at the manger, you approach the stable from the side and then go around the corner. However, I’d like to see what you would have done with this if you had had one of those remote-controlled flying iPhones with built-in gyroscope…
Watchman: I am stunned. I never knew about that, um, tradition. Obviously I’ve gone over the St. Lucy’s display very carefully, and nothing of the sort has ever been a part of it.
Pachyderminator: The Griffith comment is very flattering. As for the RCF iPhone BIG, I admit it’s a cool toy, but there is such a thing as too much phone.
