Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Sounds interesting Jimmy. I shall have to watch sometime.

I use Facebook to evangelize, as you may have noticed, however I sometimes wonder why I bother as I seem to be getting through to no-one.

    1. Hey, Mark. In my experience, there were (and still are) particular people I had in mind and who I wanted to see my posts about the faith, but what I have gotten was a few questions and conversations from others who saw them instead. We may never know this side of heaven who will benefit from our witness, but we can sow liberally nonetheless.

I have been off of social media for some time, but I’m considering using it a bit again.
