Did Elijah go to heaven before the gates of heaven were officially open?

If Jesus and Mary have their bodies in heaven, do all the saints have bodies in heaven–right now?

Does time exist for human souls in the afterlife?

  2. I really enjoyed this Jimmy. I have also found a verse that seems to support the notion that other Saints other than Mary, Elijah were also resurrected before the end of the world and in fact resurrected with Christ. It is Matthew 27:51-53 ” And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many.”

    I think that we can safely say that there are many bodies in heaven and that the resurrection has already happened for many. Yet the Church teaches that it will happen for all Saints in the last days.
