Blog Day Off

I need one of my rare blog days off, folks!

Sorry for the inconvenience,  but have fun with the current posts and the archives!

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Jimmy. I’m not falling for it. You have some sort of secret mission (probably for the Vatican) and you think to throw us off the trail with “Aw gee, I need a little break today.” Yeah. Right. Good luck with your secret mission.
Bloggers, any guesses as to what Jimmy’s secret mission is? We know that it can be accomplished in 24 hours, and that only Jimmy can do it. Hmmm.

  2. Is there a meeting of the International Justice League of Super Acquaintances today?

  3. I hope Jimmy is pulling glamdring out of storage since we have a troll running around…
    Enjoy your blog-day off!
    Take care and God bless,

  4. I have my theory: Jimmy has been whisked to the Vatican for a secret consultation on American folk dancing in the liturgy. I guessing, major announcment coming here folks.

  5. You can’t fool me, Jimmy! You’re out to spy on my organization again, you Jesuit spy!

  6. Ed,
Wait a minute! with Jimmy’s extensive knowledge of Dogma, Doctrine and Do-Si-Do…you might just be onto something!

  7. Little help here folks, just got this voice mail: “Howdy y’all. Spring will be a little this year. The man with the blue scarf is in Vienna. And that’s why the lady is a tramp. Over and in. Yee-Haw!”

  8. Jimmy must be in training to infiltrate the “Foursquare church”:
Naw, they offered me that mission, but I took a Do-Paso on it.

  9. He-e-e-y…
Eric Scheske over at The Daily Eudemon just announced that HE is taking a week off after continuous daily blogging for about 400 days.
    Coincidence? YOU decide…

  10. Tim, you know my definition of coincidence? God’s way of working anonymously….Somebody, drive by Jimmy’s place and check up on him.
