Terri's Final Hours

Fr. Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, shares his eyewitness testimony of the final hours in the life of Terri Schindler-Schiavo.

GET THE (HEARTBREAKING) STORY.

Author: Jimmy Akin

Jimmy was born in Texas, grew up nominally Protestant, but at age 20 experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant seminary professor, he started an intensive study of the Bible. But the more he immersed himself in Scripture the more he found to support the Catholic faith, and in 1992 he entered the Catholic Church. His conversion story, "A Triumph and a Tragedy," is published in Surprised by Truth. Besides being an author, Jimmy is the Senior Apologist at Catholic Answers, a contributing editor to Catholic Answers Magazine, and a weekly guest on "Catholic Answers Live."

  1. Heartbreaking stuff. Satan wins the battle but loses the war. The gates of Hell swing open at the Florida Legislature.

  2. I wonder if Pinellas Park’s finest are proud of themselves. Big tough men boldly…making sure that a dying woman isn’t given a sip of water of a bit of ice on her tongue. Wonder if they got special commendations for such heroic acts.

Also wondering if Mikey and Jodi have sent out the wedding invitations yet. I’m not invited but I’ve got the perfect present for her anyway. A copy of Antonia Fraser’s “The Six Wives of Henry VIII,” with a big circle drawn around the chapter headings pertaining to Anne Boleyn.

  3. i thought the terri schiavo was a heartbreaking story….i was once told about it when i was in school and never thought to look it up, but now i am an r.e teacher i was searching through some sites….and this had to be the most upsetting thing! Thanks for sharing it with us!
